If there is any sector that has doubled its growth rate for the past decade,it is none other than IT. Countries like India,Brazil,Japan are hunting for the market share.But there exists a silent czar called SriLanka. A land which is known for its war against LTTE for many years,has a commercial facet too. Tea,tourism remains to be mainstay in this war stricken land.
It has now proves to be a good place for IT investment as well. IBM a global leader has its BPO operations in SriLanka. AirTel which is India's number one mobile service provider has shifted its customer support operations to this country as a cost cutting measure. May be this is time to shift focus towards third world countries!!!
